2025年、論創社より復刊。
復刊を記念し、作家・関川夏央氏が寄稿の文章を
写真集『漂う島 とまる水』収録作品の一カットに文章を載せた、ポストカードサイズの栞を制作しました。

After many occupations, Katsumi Sunamori eventually returned to Okinawa, where he lived with his father for the first time in thirty years.
There he encountered “mixed-heritage” rock singers who expressed the turbulence of their bloodlines through music. Inspired by their voices, Sunamori embarked on a journey to his father’s homeland—the Philippines.
Originally published in 1992 by Chikuma Shobo under the title Okinawan Shout, the book was later revised and reissued in 2000 as Okinawa Shout (Kodansha Bunko), before falling out of print.
In 2025, the work has been republished by Ronso.
To commemorate this edition, writer Natsuo Sekikawa contributes a special text.
In addition, a postcard-sized bookmark featuring an image from the photobook Floating Island, Still Water (1995) accompanied by text has been produced.
